Mike shot this 140 class Kansas non-typical whitetail from the ground!! He saw that the deer were entering the same spot of a soy bean field every evening, the only problem was there wasn't a tree in site. Mike cut out a "hole" in a cedar tree and waited for them to appear that evening. A few does entered the field and then this great buck stepped out and Mike was able to shoot him from 12 yards. We couldn't find him that evening but he was easily retrieved the next morning. He had only gone about 75 yards and was tucked in next to a tree.
